The Master of Science (Mathematics) degree is a research mode program which requires a submission of thesis at the end of the program.

Candidates are required to take an audit course in preparation for research, writing and publishing. This course is Research Methodology which is a required course for all candidates in order to fulfill the graduation requirement except for those who have already completed the course be it in UniSZA or any other institutions.

For admission into the Master of Science (Mathematics) programme, applicants must have at least

• A Bachelor’s degree with Honours with a minimum CGPA of 2.75 in a related field recognized by UniSZA senate
  OR
• Graduated with a CGPA of at least 2.50 in a related field recognized by the senate of;
  And have a minimum of 3 years working experience;
  OR
• Graduated with a CGPA of less than 2.50 in a related field recognized by UniSZA senate;
  And have a minimum of 5 years working experience;
• English language requirements for international candidates (Commonwealth countries are excluded):
  IELTS 5.0
  TOEFL 500
